கணவர் இறந்து,அந்த வேலையை மனைவி, கருணை அடிப்படையில் பெற்றால், அவள் வேலைக்கு சேரும்போது, மாமியாரிடம் அவரை காப்பாற்றுவேன் என மருமகள், சம்மத கையெழுத்து வாங்கி, வேலைக்கு சேர்ந்ததாலும், மாமியாருக்கு வேறு யாரும் இல்லாததாலும், மருமகள், சட்ட பிரிவு 125, Cr.P.C.படி, மாமியாருக்கு ஜீவனாம்சம் கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என பாம்பே உயர் நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

Mother-in-law, who is aged and has no source of income, is entitled to claim maintenance from her daughter-in-law.
